This process results in a speciality with a slightly crumbly consistency, fine green veining and a bold, piquant flavour. Schärdinger Österkron can be used in spreads, for savoury soups and sauces, for a melted cheese topping, for hearty dressings and for refining salad recipes. Its extraordinary flavour has already earned it the title of Austria´s most popular fine mould cheese on numerous occasions. Österkron is available in 100 g and 150 g wedges on the self-service shelf and in wheels from the gourmet cheese counter. This cheese is also available from the Schärdinger Affineur assortment.
