Asmonte
This bold, piquant hard cheese from Schärdinger will tempt you with its hearty Italian style and is regularly brushed with linseed oil during its six-month ripening pause. Months of care allow a firm rind to form around the cheese. Once Schärdinger Asmonte has fully ripened, its bold, piquant aroma is reminiscent of Italian hard cheese, even though its somewhat higher fat content of 40 % F.i.D.M. (approx. 25 % absolute fat content) gives it a fuller taste and, thanks to careful processing, the texture is finer and more delicate than its Italian counterpart.
